What is bugging you?

When I discovered two of these pods while cleaning up the hedgerow, I asked, friend or foe? Frances, at Lancaster Penn State extension, says friend, a Cecropia moth. One of the largest moths in North America, endangered and beautiful. Friend, it is! Oh, and it is a silk moth!  "Sew" exciting!  (hee, hee) I will keep you posted.
